Netflix Launches a Limited Beta for its Cloud Gaming Service

Netflix is introducing a limited beta test for users interested in trying out its cloud gaming service. Ahead of its release, select users in Canada and the UK will be able to test the game feature using their TV and the Netflix Game Controller app. The beta will primarily "test [its] game streaming technology and controller, and [improve] the member experience over time," said Mike Verdu, VP of Netflix Gaming.

Netflix's new gaming service will be accessible on Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, LG TVs, Nvidia Shield TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, and Walmart's ONN. The beta is expected to extend to PC and Mac gamers in the coming weeks, allowing for immersive mouse and keyboard gameplay.
