Max Grunfeld, a graduate of the Zwolle Institute of the Arts, has developed a cartoonish aesthetic for her illustrative creations. With their swirl of rich colors and distinctive style, the work of this illustration showcases her excellence in creating pieces that are striking. Each illustration boasts a childlike style that contrasts well with the thought-provoking themes.
“I find my inspiration in the things that I see in the world around me. Mostly it comes from people and their social interactions,” says the 22-year old Hamburg-based artist. Taking from her surroundings has made for remarkable and amusing drawings that make a statement, such as the piece that depicts a couple photographing themselves with a mobile phone revealing two different realities. With her witty depiction of contemporary society, Max Grunfeld gives a fresh perspective that is visually stimulating.
