Matkahuolto Hands Out Free Tickets in Return for Festive Cookies

Christmas is just around the corner, and it seems like everyone is feeling festive for the holiday season, including a Finnish bus driver Matkahuolto who, as a promotion, decided to change the monetary currency to an edible cookie currency. The festive bus conductor allowed passengers to exchange gingerbread cookies in return for a one way ticket for a day.
The rules of the festive promotion was that the decoration on the cookies had to display where the final destination of passengers and of course, they needed to be edible. Bus passengers have since been posting their gingerbread cookies on Twitter with the hashtag #piparilippu, meaning cookie ticket.
The 600 promotional tickets sold out fast, leading Matkahuolto to turn away passengers holding the festive cookies because of the sold out tickets.
