Design studio kaschkasch works in collaboration with HAY to create the Marselis lighting series. The labels draw inspiration from Danish streets, delivering a floor lamp and a table lamp resembling streetlights. The head of the lamp boasts a circular shape so it can rotate around, and have controlled light direction vertically. The stem of the lamp is also rotational on top of the base, so it can change directional illumination from there as well.
The light is planted on top of a tilted circular foundation that allows users to have the choice of emitting indirect light or direct spotlight. On the back of the circular piece, there is a light switch that allows users to control how dim or bright the light gets. The body of the lamp is constructed from cast aluminum and finished in a powder coat. The flat panel is encased within an injection molded polycarbonate opalescent lens.
