In the hotel space, Marriott is testing a Bluetooth-activated key card with its rewards members, so that staff members are able to greet the guests by name. This system ultimately also has the potential to be used to provide other pertinent information on guests during their stay, such as if they are celebrating a special occasion, or if they have special dietary needs.
The Marriott Irvine Spectrum also boasts a farm-to-table restaurant with communal seating, a rooftop bar that permits app-powered mobile ordering and even a virtual reality experience that helps guests experience and provide feedback for new hotel concepts.
