Marks and Spencer is a store based in the UK that wanted to redesign the packaging for a few of its bread products. After doing some research, Claudia Lloyd found out that over 1 million pieces of bread are thrown out on a daily basis because of going off. After finding this out, she did even more research to discover ways to avoid this from happening.
Lloyd found that tin cans were the best materials for preserving bread, which is what she used for the packaging of the Marks and Spencer products. The tin cans also exuded a more high-quality look too, which was perfect to match these top-tier products. The illustrations on the front also evoke more authenticity for the brand, featuring people in the olden days surrounded by bread.
