Wacky Crowdfunding Campaigns

KFC is Attempting to Get Its Consumers to Fund Its Marketing Stunts

Marketing stunts are always efficient in capturing consumer attention and a good way to ensure the project is a success is by having the audience fund the endeavor. Fast food restaurant KFC is launching five crowdfunding campaigns through Indiegogo. The marketing stunts are attributed to the newly-formed KFC Innovations Lab.

The first idea is named 'Picnic with the Colonel,' boasting a flat-pack cardboard table with a Colonel to hold a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. The second — the 'Smart Cane Remote,' boasts a device that changes TV channels through the shake of a cane. The third marketing stunt is the 'Little Colonel Locator' which is a Bluetooth-enabled accessory. The fourth is the 'Kentucky Fried Hot Tub' which is quite self-explanatory and the final marketing stunt is a 'Colonel on Ice Ice-Skating Show,' boasting an entire experience.
