Nothing suggests delicate beauty like a marble bar design. French practice Didier Faustino takes it upon itself to facilitate an ultra-luxurious environment for the XYZ Lounge in Ghent, Belgium. The original site was not in tune with the contemporary movement, hence the firm had to do a sizable overhaul. The bar is part of a social housing development, hence Didier Faustino aimed to create a space where individuals can interact and build a community.
The marble bar design in pale pink is surely an excellent idea since the bright nuance suggests fluidity and lightness. The material and palette go a long way to satisfy Didier Faustino's aim to arrange a space that is "neutral and sensual." In addition, the design firm adds rich green to the decor, in order to set a friendly contrast to the space.
