MahaNakhon is an incredible skyscraper, located in the Thai capital Bangkok, that is unique in that it sheathed in a spiral ribboned structure that gives off the illusion that the building is still unfinished.
Created by Buro Ole Scheeren Group, the tower boasts a height of 314 meters and is home to opulent residences and a high-end bar. The structure is dotted with glass capsules all the way up the spiral structure, which is why it has its pixelated appearance. The glass boxes offer spectacular views of the Bangkok skyline.
Quite often, the problem with innovatively designed skyscrapers is that they look a bit out of place in their surroundings. MahaNakhon is the opposite however, as its unique appearance was conceived to complement the existing Thai skyline. As a result, this skyscraper catches the eye as an architectural landmark of Bangkok whilst still respect its surroundings.
