The rising Henderson Office building which is being created by the team at Zaha Hadid Architects is close to completion as it is seen in the Central Business District of Hong Kong. The captivating skyscraper is 36 stories and will soon be one of the landmarks of the area.
Speaking about the rising building, Principal at Zaha Hadid Architects Patrik Schumacher notes, "With this site, we were very conscious that we had to create something extraordinary and unique, something 21st century and forward-looking. We had the ambition to create a special piece of architecture that would be noticed and make waves around the world." The inspiration for the building stems from the buds of the Hong Kong orchid, which is also seen on the flag.
