Customizable Ice Cream

This Magnum Ice Cream Pop-Up Shop Puts Customers In Charge

Normally when you think of Magnum ice cream, you think of walking into the ice cream section of your local supermarket and picking up a box of Magnums. However, Magnum Ice Cream recently launched its first ever customized ice cream experience in the USA, albeit a temporary initiative.

The company went about setting up a pop-up shop in Bryant Park in New York City. Customers are given the opportunity to dip a smooth vanilla bean ice cream bar in either milk chocolate or dark chocolate, before being asked to pick three out of nine toppings. The process is reminiscent to that of self-serve frozen yogurt joints, although the end result is an ice cream bar that resembles those you get in supermarket freezers in boxes.

Customization is fast becoming the buzzword in the food industry. This Magnum ice cream initiative gave customers the opportunity to enjoy customized ice cream with the same look and feel of standard supermarket boxed ice cream.
