The McDonald’s MacCoin has been unveiled by the QSR brand as a new limited-edition promotion to offer fans of the iconic Big Mac sandwich a way to celebrate its legacy. Introduced at part of the 50th anniversary of the sandwich, the new collectible coins will be distributed by the company starting on August 2 with the purchase of a Big Mac at thousands of its locations. The coin can be redeemed at any participating locations in the US and around the globe in over 50 countries for a free sandwich.

The McDonald’s MacCoin comes in five distinctly artistic variations that each celebrate one of the decades in the sandwich's 50 year history and are sure to become a collector's item amongst fast food aficionados.
