McDonald's Japan is Now Selling Authentic Macarons from France

McDonald's Japan is now expanding its fast food menu with four new macarons from France, which can be found at McCafé by Barista locations for a limited time.

While McDonald's has experimented with a range of globally inspired menu items in the past, these new macarons are imported directly from France, giving consumers in Japan the chance to taste authentic treat flavors in Citron, Raspberry, Vanilla and Chocolate varieties without having to leave the country. The limited-edition sweets can be sampled individually, or as part of a giftable Takeout Box Set that includes three macaron flavors of one's choosing.

McCafé by Barista is a cafe corner within McDonald's stores that sets itself apart by focusing its efforts on coffee, an expansive drinks menu with customizable, barista-crafted specialities, sweets and limited-time items.
