A new range of Lyft scooters have received a redesign which focuses on sharing, durability, battery life and brakes. The new edition scooters are now available in Denver, which was the first place the company released its previous edition last year. Other prominent designs in the industry like Uber's also focus on durability and bike-like breaks.
The Lyft scooters have an updated braking system, which is located on the left handlebar and can stop both wheels if pulled. The frame redesign focuses on durability, was made by Segway and notably, doesn't fold. It is also 20 percent wider along the base measuring at 6.2 inches and is powered by a battery that can run for 35-40 miles on a single charge.
