Dott and Segway Introduce a New Bicycle — Urban B200

The Urban B200 is a new electric bicycle model that was introduced in Paris through a collaboration between the shared micro-mobility operator Dott and the transportation manufacturer Segway. This vehicle is the result of a co-development process that incorporated data from an earlier pilot program in the city.

The Urban B200's design includes several features aimed at the urban commuter, such as a dashboard displaying battery and system status, a pedal-based torque sensor for responsive motor assistance, a front storage basket, and protective elements like fenders and a covered chain. Dott and Segway place a particular emphasis on operational enhancements, with he model incorporating a high-capacity battery that permits an extended range on a single charge and a low standby power mode to prolong the time between necessary recharges for the fleet operators.

The deployment in Paris is part of a larger financial investment by Dott and aligns with a renewed service contract with the city authorities.
