MAA Architects teamed up with Neometro and Carr Design Group to complete the 126 Walsh Street residence, a luxury development with four units, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Each single-level residence is intended to be a "home," rather than an apartment. The designers opted for open-plan living areas, expansive hallways and generous outdoor gardens and living spaces, all of which work together to create a dynamic dwelling.
Neometro's distinct aesthetic is seen in the subtle touches, such as cedar-clad timber ceilings, which add a warmth to the contemporary space. Another cedar feature, the entry gate, is added to the home, leading to a breezeway and foyer. Inside, timber highlights are mixed with black accents, adding a bolder element.
