The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2017 collection, a line of women's wear that was designed by company artist director, Nicolas Ghesquière, was recently revealed in Rio de Janeiro.
The show follows the 2016 Cuba cruise show that saw Karl Lagerfeld appear, with both the Rio and Cuban venues being new choices for the luxury clothing brand. The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2017 collection saw models walk down a spiraling red floor from a building that looked like it just landed from space -- corresponding well with many of the line's futuristic athletic looks.
Included in the collection is a dress with pockets and dramatic cutout designs, a crewneck and skirt ensemble with vivid contrasting patterns, flowing tunic-style shirts and a long galactic dress with a zippered front and whimsical blue and black pattern. As Fashionista reports, the collection's use of bright colors was inspired by the city's vibrant and lively culture.
