Spotted: the Abigail Lorick 'Angels and Cocoons' runway show. While Lorick's brand new collection encompassed the unique style that is 'Gossip Girl,' Lorick did a different take on high-class teen fashion.

Tailored cocktail dresses, shimmering stardust tights, cocoon coats and flirty skirts all donned the runway. The looks were completed with jewelry by Subversive, Fenton/Fallon necklaces and flirty feathered headbands by Leah C.

Implications - Television and movies have been inspiring fashion and runway collections for ages -- some more than others. Gossip Girl in particular has created a movement towards high-class teen fashion, or at least fashion that has the appearance of prestige. Gossip Girl ensembles are inspired by divine accessories, extravagant headpieces and outfits that push the boundaries of "junior fashion," creating a market for luxury teen fashion.
