The Liz Orton Deltiologies images pair themed pictures of nature together within a single round. Photocrom pictures of mountains, lakes, waterfalls and villages have been amassed, enabling the artist to get at specific themes.

While Orton's chosen snapshots are different from one another, capturing different regions and landscapes, they nonetheless come together harmoniously in Deltiologies. Best of all is the historic nature of the pieces as she took from 20th century collections.

She has in many ways changed the landscape lot, "...landscape is a representation, rather than a natural scene ‘out there’ in the world. Landscape is informed by histories of looking, and by cultural and visual narratives of nature." Whether or not one is familiar with the niche, they are at base visually appealing.
