SoundCloud and Twitch Partnered to Provide Livestream Content

SoundCloud is collaborating with Twitch in order to make it easier for musicians to earn money through livestream content. The collaboration was undertaken in order to ensure that musicians would be able to earn money during the outbreak of the coronavirus. The new changes could help musicians who may not be able to perform shows due to the outbreak of the illness.

With the new partnership, all SoundCloud Pro and Premier accounts will be able to expedite the process of getting a Twitch Affiliate account, which allows them to financially gain from livestream content on the Twitch platform.

SoundCloud released a statement, “t's an unsettling time for everyone right now, and we know COVID-19 has been especially hard on musicians who were scheduled to play live shows over the next few months."
