The Lionel Messi Maserati Concept is an Aggressive Track Car

Automotive design student Randy Hjelm created the Lionel Messi Maserati concept car as an attempt to imagine the perfect supercar for the Argentine soccer star. Creating a car inspired by a person isn't exactly the easiest thing to do, so Hjelm focused less on Messi's physical attributes and more on his playing style when designing this future-forward supercar. The result is an open-top vehicle that looks like it'd be more at home on the track than any city street in Barcelona.

The Lionel Messi Maserati concept was designed to be agile and compact with aggressive styling. Those are all ways to describe the soccer star's playing style. Hjelm's creation seems a bit too crazy to be put into production, but there's been talk of Maserati building a new supercar. Perhaps this concept could serve as inspiration in some way.
