Solar-Powered Light Cubes

This Light Cube Can Work as a Solar Battery for Cities and Towns

This light cube features an amazing futuristic design that looks more like a piece of sci-fi than functional art, however it is both. The piece was made by Romolo Stanco of T°RED in conjunction with energy lab Ricerca Sistema Energetico.

The first thing that comes to mind when looking at this cube is the infamous energon cube from Transformers that saw the Autobots and Decepticons waging war with each other. This cube even serves a similar purpose in that it is an autonomous energy source.

The cube takes in solar energy and lights up in a variety of patterns. While this is cool on its own, the use of the light cube is more for being an autonomous solar battery that can be placed in townships to provide instant energy.
