Here’s a new one: lighting that keeps your feet warm. The Light Carpet by Johanna Hyrkas was created by wrapping LED rope lights in a simple knitting pattern. The pattern, which wraps around and around, eventually became a rug. The Light Carpet is a new take on interior lighting.
Hyrkas designed the Light Carpet as part of Imu Design, Finland’s “self-appointed National Design Team.” Not only is their work impressive, they’ve even got the cojones to name themselves the National Design Team. Go them.
