Animal rights organization PETA is taking a stand against the Canadian government. Apparently the activism organization feels the government is not doing enough to stop seal clubbing.
In response, PETA is calling for a boycott of Canadian maple syrup, which they claim is essential to the Canadian economy.
The video above shows footage of a nude PETA protest in response to a separate issue.
Implications - As media-producing technologies become much more accessible to North American citizens, the way in which society now communicates with its government officials and each other has now changed. Corporations looking to effectively communicate with their customers need to actively study and implement these technologies in their day-to-day operations.
