Levi's has put a new twist on their 501's with this packaging design that places the denim in paint buckets.
The infamous jeans company is introducing a wide range of brightly colored jeans for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Each pair of Levi 501's comes in unique paint can packaging, where you can tell the color of the denim just by looking at the can itself.
Implications - Clever packaging not only allows your product to be set apart from competitors, but it can also instill excitement into even the most common consumer purchases. Jeans that come in paint can packaging are an example of how thinking outside the box with product packaging can be more cost effective than changing your actual product itself.
