The Leica Gun is one of the most rare and unusual Leitz accessories ever produced. A very rare prototype of a New York Leica Gun RIFLE is set to be sold at auction for somewhere between $335,000 and $390,000. This camera was originally created for sports and wildlife photographers, and paired a Leica camera with a barrel viewfinder, mirror-housing and a rifle-like wooden stock and trigger.
While the Leica Gun RIFLE is not the first camera to be given a form reminiscent of a gun, it is undoubtedly one of the most famous. This particular specimen is in excellent condition. So if you have six figures to spend and want to get your hands on a true artifact of photography, head over to the WestLicht Photographica Auction House.
