The LEGO Vestas Wind Turbine is Finally Available to the Public

Fans of renewable energy sources can now finally proudly show off their obsession thanks to a re-release of the LEGO Vestas Wind Turbine. Initially developed in 2008, the original model was never released to the public and was kept in the company's vault. However, The limited edition model has finally appeared to the public in the hopes of raising awareness about renewable energy products.

Standing three feet tall, the LEGO Vestas Wind Turbine contains 826 pieces, including a single spruce tree piece made of LEGO's sustainable plant-based plastic. The turbine blades of the model can be fully adjusted to catch the wind and the piece even includes the ability to be fully automated using set power functions.
