Left-Handed Oreos are Being Sold in Celebration of Left Handers Day

In celebration of International Left Handers Day, Nabisco has put a twist on classic cookie packaging with its left-handed Oreos. Released in limited quantities, this unique take on the classic snack doesn't change the actual cookies but instead reinvents the packaging they come in. Traditional Oreo packaging opens on the left, favoring right-handed people, but these left-handed Oreos open on the opposite side, making things a little easier to get to for lefties.

As part of this publicity stunt, Nabisco sent the first batch of left-handed Oreos to Left Hand, West Virginia. The company even released a statement that acknowledges its left-handed fans. In the statement, the company expressed its celebration of its left-handed fans and encourages them to "open a pack of Oreo cookies their way – the 'left' way!”
