Even though using animation in commercials is hardly a new concept, this latte art animation uses coffee foam drawings to tell a story and promote a product. From Aijinomoto General Foods, Latte Motion is a sweet commercial that adorably advertises its Maxim Stick drink flavoring.
Featuring 1000 cups of coffee, the cute latte art animation showcases a thousand different designs, the style of which is very popular in Japan. The ad tells the love story of a fictional couple and ends with the heart-warming tagline "Latte warms the world." The first of its kind, the stop motion video is set on a rough wooden table backdrop and incorporates other elements such as seeds, scenic Christmas tree and snowmen cookies, dried fruit and fake snowflakes to enhance the storytelling.
