Laser-Cut Table Tops

These Tables Offer a Modern Twist on a Traditional Design

Created by Esther Jongsma who is part of the design duo 'VANTOT,' these laser-cut tables and trays are inspired by a traditional design practice.

The creator of the 'Passage Trays and Table' collection was inspired by wooden inlay flooring -- patterns on wood that are seen in many homes -- to create a more modern version of the design technique. The resulting collection features laser-cut trays and table tops that each have bold graphic designs on them that are both visually interesting and made in a way that is unique.

By taking traditional design and combining it with a more sophisticated practice, the artist manages to create something that is both historical and modern.
