Inspired by New York's subway system, the L Train Shutdown is a new immersive haunted house experience located in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood. Running from October 18, 2018, through November 3, 2018, the experience is housed in a massive 40,000-square-foot space. The L Train Shutdown will also include a nightclub, called Club Transit, and will feature parties led by various DJs.
The actual haunted house draws inspiration from New York's transit system and imagines a fictional 2019 when the L train has stopped running. The fear is garnered from the recreation of a dilapidated Bushwick, ruled by hysteria and terror as the L train is no longer accessible. The organizers of the L Train Shutdown haven't told the audience what they have in store, but the event's Instagram shows off mutant and giant rats climbing out of the platforms.
