Knut Hamsun was the recipient of the Nobel Prize for literature and is known as Norway's most inventive 20th century writer.
Built to celebrate Knut Hamsun's birth, this space boasts an exhibition space, library, reading room, auditorium and a cafe.
On the exterior, the Knut Hamsun Center is covered in tarred black wood and has a roof top garden outlined with bamboo.
Implications - The entire structure stands out dramatically against its natural setting; its design is extremely contemporary which is a huge juxtaposition against the forest and lake. This modern marvel is a beautiful building that is sure to inspire.
