Google Has Expanded Its Knowledge Panel To Allow For Artist Interaction

Google is letting musicians respond to user searches thanks to the recent expansion to the Google Knowledge Panel. This update puts musicians in the center of the search stage by giving them the ability to directly update their Google Knowledge Panel. In this section, users can find updates, images, videos, and GIFs posted directly by the artist they are searching for. This feature is currently restricted to Google verified artists, but any musician can apply for verification through Google.

Musicians such as Lorde, Sia, Son Little, Sofi Tukker, Shakira, Steve Aoki and Kygo are already participating in the updated Google Knowledge Panel. Lorde is using the service to promote her ongoing world tour. While Steve Aoki has been updating fans on the status of his new music video. Posts made directly by the artist will feature a blue check mark next to their name to ensure valid posts.
