In celebration of 10 years of the Kindle Storyteller Award, Amazon set up a Kindle Storyteller pop-up in Victoria Park, inviting passersby to browse and borrow a selection of self-published titles. Alongside up-and-coming authors, the pop-up showcases the success of authors who got their start with self-published books, long before being signed by a traditional publisher.
The campaign not only helps to expose independent authors to new audiences, but also highlights the benefits of self-publishing via Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing. Entries for this year's Kindle Storyteller Award are open until 31st August via Kindle Direct Publishing. At the same time, the pop-up self-published library taps into the rising interest in group reading parties that get people together to enjoy what is usually a solo activity.
