The Nature school located in Milan is offering a kindergarten classroom with a curriculum focusing on the environment and the protection of animals with vegan-themed menu and snacks. The children are taught to respect animals and in doing so, are served dairy and meat-free meals that complement the teachings.
The classrooms' teachings are heavily focused on educating the students from a young age to be environmentally conscious through awareness as well as diet. The kids are taught about recycling, animal care and environmental issues despite their young age. The food served in the classroom further reflects the teachings with vegan meals that are made free of animal products, meat, fish, eggs, honey and dairy.
The use of food to educate children is an innovative and non-invasive way to teach young consumers about predominant lifestyle diets, such as veganism.
