Playground-Inspired Living Rooms

Ki Design Studio might not be the first to install a slide in a living room setting, but they have done it in a noteworthy fashion. Complementing the overall warm yet airy home with a metal slide in place of traditional stairs, it's interesting to see the juxtaposition of sophistication and playfulness. Although it's not clear whether this is a family home, Contemporist writes, "Their clients explained that they wanted an apartment where they could rest, but not get bored with the design in a year or so, and that it had to have something special and ‘wow’ their guests."

With this direction in mind, it was only natural for Ki Design Studio to introduce a slide into the mix. Guests will not only be wowed, but also never want to leave.
