Shanghai-based design firm 100architects created the Wired Scape, which is a vibrant playground with a modern angle. The design is inspired by two powerful themes of nature, which are the forest and the flowing water. These elements are translated through the bold forms, which are made up of geometric shapes and bright surface treatments.
This creates a playscape that is not only aesthetic but also functional. At the center of the design are four vertical silhouettes, which are meant to reflect the look of trees. These towering structures are made from spiraling steel pipes, which also create canopies above. These can be climbed, and the suspended bridges between the 'trees' incorporate more for those who are adventurous.
