Monica Förster Design Studio designs the curvaceous Kashan chair for Bernhardt Design. It has the exterior of a overstuffed seat in multiple color selections, resting on top of thin blade-like metal legs to contrast the seating shape. The concept that was kept in mind when creating the Kashan chair was to create something that surpasses any confinement to any style from a range of time periods. The furniture piece still exudes a sense of comfort that is refined and playful, with futuristic and classic styles coexisting.
The extremely thin legs of the Kashan chair not only contrasts the seating piece, but it also gives the illusion that the seat is floating above the ground. The seat itself maximizes comfort with its construction from high-density molded form and custom suspension spring seating.
