Takashi Murakami's latest piece at the Kaikai Kiki Gallery is made in collaboration with Japanese accessories label PORTER. It is a footwear silhouette that also functions as a bag due to its plethora of pouches that adorn it. The sneaker sits on top of a chunky sole and is decorated with PORTER's signature bags and holsters. Specifically, it is comprised of a range of PORTER tags, strap enclosures for adjustment, as well as D-rings.
The exterior is complete in a asymmetric visual design and boasts the classic green hue signature to PORTER. To add some contrasting elements, there are orange lining details. Branding details translate in the form of Murakami's flowers and "TM/KK" across the tongue patch, outsole, and the midsole.
