Multi-Use Modern Cafes

Kate Francin is Both a Traditional Cafe as Well as a Night Club

Czech-based architecture group DDDAANN created the Kafe Francin, a hospitality building that starts as a small cafe during the day and transforms into a bar at night.

The main space has modern design features with high-end finishes, a simplistic color scheme and traditional cafe amenities. The design team used stark white with a bright blue accent color to add contrast, as well as texture.

Downstairs is where the fresh coffee is roasted and food is prepared and is a space open to the public. The final room is in the back of the building and features a nightclub design inspiration with low sofas and large armchairs.

All three spaces have oak flooring paired with a stained plywood wall coating. The Kafe Francin's modern design aesthetic make it a tourist destination in Prague.
