Jonathan Shackleton is a Leeds, United Kingdom-based graphic designer and illustrator who, unlike many of his colleagues, has made a point of celebrating print. While digital methods are edging out more and more of print media's market share, there is still a niche for the tactile medium.
The designs featured here are meant to showcase the Italian paper company Fedrigoni's products -- high quality, specialty papers -- to the United Kingdom design world. These paper-crafted dinner coats are to be collected into a book which will be sent to UK customers of Fedrigoni, many of whom are fashion designers.
With these pieces, Jonathan Shackleton has cleverly demonstrated the advantages that physical mediums have over digital ones; namely, that one cannot hold a computer generated image in their hand.
