Without any hallucinogenic drugs or wild color, Joe Fenton brings a wild trippy world of comical monsters in his extremely beautiful work called 'Solitude.'
If you look closely at all he detail in the black and white artwork, you’ll see a combination of cartooning, illustration, fantasy and drawing. Fenton’s unique fiendish characters are in a kind of utopia of their own that is playfully comical. Fenton started to work on this single image back in 2010 and it’s still a work in progress. It is 8ft across and 5ft high so you can imagine all the work that’s required.
Joe Fenton works on graphite and later plans to go with ink and acrylic. This image when finished will have taken about ten months to complete and considering the high standard of the work, it’s totally worth it.
