From yakitori, rare whiskey and matcha offerings to street sweets, beach bento boxes and other Japanese snacks, Tanuki is set to debut as a Provincetown izakaya in Cape Cod. Merging its tasteful and deliciously culture-infused cuisine with the vibes of summer, the soon-to-be brick-and-mortar establishment is sure to become a staple for any couple or family.
The concept of Tanuki began as a pop-up Japanese snack and catering company, owned by Rebekah Powers. Before becoming a izakaya in Cape Cod, however, Powers will be running a small pop-up shop that is opening its doors on July 1st at the Happy Camper space. This will be a comfortable and productive way of preparing for a full-fledged izakaya with a cute little Japanese snack shop.
