One of the highlights of Paris Fashion Week was the unveiling of the Issey Miyake SS 2020 collection, which showed off the vision from the Japanese fashion house's new designer Satoshi Kondo. While parts of the collection were revealed with models on electrically powered skateboards and others with fringed outfits that welcomed plenty of movement, the most talked-about part of the runway show began with three models taking the stage in nothing but flesh-toned undergarments. From there, three transparent hoop-stretched dresses and hats landed on the models, who had their arms outstretched and began to bounce up and down once dressed, showing off the springy nature of the striped dresses.
As well as captivating those at the event, the innovative, theatrical and enchanting designs have inspired just as much awe on social media.
