IslandWood Aims to Foster Environmental Stewardship for Life

IslandWood is a socially motivated 255-acre outdoor learning center designed to foster sustainable practices and life-long environmental and community stewardship among its students, volunteers, and visitors.

Based in Seattle, the IslandWood facilities are located north of Seattle on Bainbridge Island, and features event space to be rented out for non-profit, community organization, or business team-building retreats.

IslandWood, founded in 1998, seeks to design and implement life-changing, hands-on learning experiences, with programs that include spring break and summer camps, day and overnight school programs, and meaningful community volunteer programs. IslandWood is dedicated to engaging its community members and school children alike in joining in the cultivation of a sustainable future.
