Hyundai indicated that its Ioniq brand will be used for all of its electrically-powered cars. The automotive company allows announced three electric cars that will be released under the Ioniq brand, including the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6, and the Ioniq 7. The Ioniq 5 is scheduled to be released in 2022, while the Ioniq 6 will be released in 2022, and the Ioniq 7 in 2024. Hyundai’s Ionic branding will dictate that odd-numbered cars will be crossovers and SUVs, while even numbers will indicate sedans.
All of the Ionic cars will be powered by the Hyundai E-GMP electric platform. Additionally, the vehicles will feature smart cabin space, with adjustable seating, wireless connections, and a glove box with doors. The company also stated that the display systems will be user friendly and feature ergonomic designs.
