Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park in northern Scotland, just outside of a quaint and lovely country home, sits the Inshriach House fire truck room.
The 1956 truck underwent a facelift and was transformed into an interesting accommodation for guests to stay in. The tiny lodging space is decked out with a sitting area and kitchen as well as a fair sized four-post bed. Given space restraints (it is on the back of a truck, after all) there is scarcely room for one person, let alone anyone else.
Even though the accommodation comes with its own private door, anyone bunking in this bizarre suite will experience little protection from the elements. Guests should also ensure that the emergency break is activated and there are blockades keeping the wheels from moving to avoid waking up in a different place than they went to sleep.
