Initial D x BlackEyePatch Capsule Marks the Manga’s 30th Year

The Initial D x BlackEyePatch capsule collection celebrates the 30th anniversary of the legendary street racing manga by Shuichi Shigeno with a range of apparel that blends classic imagery and contemporary streetwear. The lineup includes heavyweight hoodies and graphic tees featuring protagonist Takumi Fujiwara and his AE86 Trueno alongside bold manga panels repurposed as eye-catching prints. A standout denim jacket is rendered with an all-over collage of iconic scenes, marrying nostalgic visuals with modern cut and finish.

The capsule is scheduled to debut at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, held at Makuhari Messe from January 9 to 11, where attendees can access the collection ahead of a wider general release. Pieces in the series pair staple silhouettes with striking art sourced directly from the original manga, positioning the drop as both a tribute to Initial D’s cultural legacy and a fashion offering for streetwear enthusiasts.
