In collaboration with teamLab, Gucci developed 'Infinity of Flowers,' an interactive digital wall that will be part of an in-store display this month. With the interactive floral wall, visitors to the Gucci Shinjuku location will be able to touch flowers, causing the computer-generated flowers to blossom, swirl around, grow bigger and eventually, shrivel and wither away. The wall is almost like a giant canvas where users will be able to "paint," although it's already a masterpiece and there's no mess that will be left behind.
Although we're just getting into the Fall fashion season and it may seem unusual to feature flowers rather than colorful autumn leaves in this installation, the exhibit is launching this September for a few weeks, helping shoppers to say goodbye to warm weather and prepare for chillier weather.
