Nike unveiled the latest India cricket jersey which will be worn by the defending champions at the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. The kit uses the same light blue and orange scheme that has been a fixture of India's one-day international kit for some years now, and marries it with a fashionably snug fit and high-tech Nike specs.

The kit is equipped with Nike Dri-Fit technology and a Nike Pro Baselayer, which work together to regulate players' body temperature via increased venting and breathability. These features will allow the Men in Blue to focus on their game rather than on ways to beat the heat. The kit is also eco-friendly, with each one made out of an average of 33 recycled plastic bottles.

The jersey was unveiled by a star-studded roster of Indian cricketers including captain MS Dhoni, heir apparent Virat Kohli, swashbuckling batsman Shikhar Dhawan and others. Dhoni said it best when he ventured that "the Team India jersey truly symbolizes the passion for cricket in our nation; wearing this jersey is a matter of pride for every player."
